The purpose of eating raw-foods is to lead you down a corridor so that you see doors that would not have opened to you previously, to allow your intuition and food instincts to become clearer, to move you from one opportunity to another (from ne synchronicity to another) and to bring you into a more profound symmetry. All of these 5pects become reality when one finds balance eating raw-foods - "balance" being the key word.
Achieving that perfect balance depends predominantly on understanding and applying the acid/alkaline balance to your diet.
Most nutritionists now agree that maintaining a balance of acidity and alkalinity in it bodily tissues is one of the primary roles nutrition. This balance of acidity to alkalinity is usually referred to as pH (per hydrogen). The acid/ alkaline (pH) balance ranges from totally acid at 0.0 to totally alkaline at 1.0, with 7.0 being neutral. To a significant degree, the body uses electrolyte minerals to control pH. An electrolyte is a mineral that, as solution, conducts electricity. Sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, lithium, and phosphorus are the body's primary electrolytes.
Our ideal blood pH range is from 7.35 to 7.40. Other tissues in our bodies are more acidic, such as our muscles and skin (68 pH). Ideally, our tissues overall, when added together and averaged, should be around 7.0 pH. Typically, we find that people who have eaten a standard diet all of their lives become unbalanced and acidic, and their overall net pH can drop to 6.3 or 6.2 or even lower.
Acidity is the underlying cause of all the ailments that mar beauty. Acidity creates inflammation, puffiness, asymmetry, and contraction of the tissues. The only way to correct this imbalance is to eat a ratio of foods that are more alkaline than acidic, and to get in the habit of drinking high quality spring water.
